Our Story

A Specialty Cleaning Company – Janitorial Management

Mem Services Ltd. was established in 1989 and initially offered two services: carpet and janitorial. In 2024, it was rebranded to Servus Group Lower Mainland. In 1989, the company started with two vans and eight staff members. Since then, it has experienced significant growth. Currently, the company operates more than 25 service vehicles and has a team of 80 members. Additionally, it now offers four specialty cleaning service lines and janitorial management services.

 

Early on, our company showed interest in innovation. Some innovations were small and related to cleaning products, while others were broad and affected our entire business.

We evaluate every decision we make using a simple filter: CX + EX = Growth. This stands for Customer Experience + Employee Experience = Growth. In other words, if an innovation or change in how we do things doesn’t benefit our customers and employees, we don’t make the change.

Our investment in technology has made us leaders in providing field services for specialty cleaning and managing shifts for janitorial management services. We have implemented the connected customer lifecycle to unify our customer, field, and back-office processes. Field teams can add progress notes and photo evidence, allowing us to maintain complete service records and centralized Account Management and Health and Safety plans for each site.

In 2022, we reached a significant milestone by obtaining COR certification, a voluntary designation from WorkSafe BC for companies committed to maintaining a higher standard of occupational health and safety. COR certification involves thorough annual and third-party audits of our equipment, field operations, safety systems, and work processes. This audit process includes regular reviews of our safety documentation, observation of our employees at work, and interviews with our staff to ensure that all aspects of our operation meet the highest safety standards possible.
