Health and Safety

Safety is not just our top priority—it’s a core value embedded in every aspect of our operations. Our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards is demonstrated through our COR Certification, an industry-recognized designation awarded by WorkSafeBC and go2HR for exceptional occupational health and safety practices.

COR Certification

Our COR Certification shows we go beyond the basics of safety. This rigorous program includes annual and third-party audits to evaluate our equipment, field operations, safety systems, and work processes. It also involves detailed reviews, such as checking safety documentation, observing employees on the job, and interviewing staff to ensure compliance with strict standards.

Safety Culture

We know that safety is everyone’s responsibility, so we actively promote a culture of awareness and accountability. Employees are encouraged and rewarded for spotting unsafe work conditions and reporting accidents. Our Joint Health and Safety Committee involves field staff and meets regularly to tackle safety concerns. Our safety team works hard to address issues quickly and improve processes when needed.

Safety Training

Our crews are trained to handle their jobs safely and effectively. Safety training starts on day one and continues throughout their careers. New employees complete online training and mentoring to learn essential safety practices. Exterior crews receive specialized training in fall protection, boom lift operations, industrial rope access, and first aid. All staff are trained to use the right equipment, like harnesses and gloves, and third-party training reinforces in-house programs when needed.

Safety Systems

We use digital tools to make safety oversight easier and more effective. Crews upload hazard assessments and job photos to a central system so managers can review them in real-time. A dedicated safety manager conducts random site checks to ensure compliance and address concerns. When safety issues arise, we don’t wait. We update policies, revise procedures, and provide new equipment or training to fix problems fast. Safety at Servus Group is an ongoing effort that involves clear communication, proactive action, and constant improvement—keeping our team and clients safe every step of the way.
